Andrei's Nursery School

In September Andrei started Preschool (generally called Nursery School around here). It’s a 15 hr/week free program, which starts in September after the child turns three. He goes from 9 to 11:30 four days/week and one full day (9 to 3). Around the same time he started I reduced my working hours from full-time to part-time, only 2 days/week,  so I am home with him the other 3 days. I only very recently realized that Andrei and I have never had a one-to-one time like this before (with him being the second child…) and we both enjoy it a lot!

Andrei loves to go to Nursery (”Warwick Children’s Centre and Nursery School") and loves his teacher, Lynn. Here’s a measure of how much he loves it: a few weeks ago he got sick (serious coughing and quite high fever) so he stayed home a couple of days. The first day he was quite mellow and didn’t realize what was going on, as he hadn’t gotten into the whole routine yet; the second day, as his fever didn’t go down, I took him to the doctor’s. As we started getting ready he got excited and started saying “Mommy, you’re taking me to Nursery!!” – repeated about 20 times by the time we got to the car. Poor thing, he should have realized that we don’t take the car to go to Nursery (it’s only about a 5 minute walk from our house), but I guess he was too excited to care about the small details.;-) When I parked the car at the doctor’s office and he didn’t recognize the place, he started crying, so sadly – “Ooooh, where’s my Nursery?”. J
