We kicked it off with a visit from our adopted "cousins" on Sunday after church; it was nice to have lunch together and just chill after; some of us even managed to squeeze in a little nap sitting on the couch (no name naming; and no, it wasn't me). :)
On Monday we went to the dentist. Ok, that wasn't part of the "fun", but it wasn't bad either, judging by this picture... :)
On Wednesday it was our turn to visit the "cousins", who live about 20 minutes away. After lunch and lots of playing, we went on a quick trip to their shopping center and got to see Rastamouse!
He was very kind to agree being in a picture with the kids:
On Friday we visited our dear Romanian friend Alina. She and her husband used to live in Leamington Spa, a mere 10-15 minutes away, but moved near Oxford 2 years ago. We haven't seen them since they moved and now they have a one month old baby boy! So we took the 45 minutes trip and got to see her, her sweet Alex, and her lovely, lovely mom; we also got to enjoy some real Romanian food. :) Ok, just to delight my Romanian friends, this is what we had (and tell me if this is not a typical, 100% typical Romanian menu!) - salata de boeuf, supa de pui cu galuste, snitele cu puree de cartofi si salata verde, chec cu cacao la desert! Told you! :)
This was back in February, we've been back to reality for quite a while now. :)
